Afghanistan; a never ending dilema.

Let's not talk about what past us. I start my blog from the day I watched Mr. Karzai's speech yesterday Nov 14, 2007 via Arians Television.

He sounded very sincere and at times funny. But when he talked about the little kids blown up at Baghlan, it made me cry in my heart. I am pretty sure he was heart broken as any other countryman and human being would be in this case.
He spoke about how these little kids did not even have proper winter shoes when they went to greet the parliamentarians.

During his speech he talked about how much money and property is owned by the heads of the government and the powerful in Afghanistan.
He directly addressed these people by telling them that they have gathered enough wealth and they should keep it all and start to think about the future of this nation.

"This nation has been very kind to us", he said. "They have taken us back in their arms and given us another chance to serve them, but we betrayed them again", he added.

Well, for my part, I definitely agree with what Mr. Karzai laid out in from of people; I listened good and sat back and thought about what he said.

At this moment I said to myself, "wait a minute, what he said was excellent......but that's all good if he was a teacher or something......."

I am thinking with myself that he is the head of the state, he is the president...he is the man in charge...he is the guy who, by all standards, have to take responsibility for what is going on under him.

Where I come from, if there is a company that is doing a poor job, the boss gets the blame. If a team keep loosing games, the coach shoulders the burden.

I don't mean to blame him for all the problems we have. But he is the one in a/the position who can do something about it. In action/swift action and not in words......

Now some might argue that he is only human being and one person. There is a limit to what he can do....
I agree with that point of view; but has he done everything that a human being in his position can do?

For those of you who watch Discovery Channel; you have watched scenes from the African desert, when an animal is about to die all these scavengers start to get closer from the sky and on the ground.

To me it resembles the nearing end of Afghan government and Karzai's era. I see all these so called politicians and elderly, as we call them, making noise and getting together and talking about the failures of the current regime and are offering their services to the people.....hah

I believe that Karzai still have a chance, the last chance......and i will write in detail what I think it takes for him to undo all the damages and do the overdue....

It's a long story.
But long story short, we are the nation lagging behind hundreds of years from the rest.

Yet we do wear fancy suits and ties and seem to be doing pretty good, while we have no propere sanitation, no healthcare, no roads, no education system, no economy.
However, lots of talk, lots of singers, lots of bs.

America needs to leave Afghanistan alone! The US has enough states to take care of itself, just stop using Afghanistan and take care of your own country America. All afghani have become homeless, they dont even have a counrty to call home and they dont see nothing improving. It's all about politics and power and money.

Not sure what your question is about Afghan women, and who helps who...
But in respect to Sharia, since the majority of Afghans are Muslim and Sharia is the Islamic Laws; yes they do stand but not really practiced.
It's governing the Afghan constitution and could be used as guide to social, political and economic matters.

Was there anything in Sharia Law that you know of and have objections to?

I agree what the first comment who ever made, but they should not just leave yet because, i think we should learn our leson what we did in 1980, when afghans were fighting the red army, we help them but in the end we just left everything and didnt care about the ppl i the midel, now we are fighting the same ppl we helped back thn to fight the red army (Russia)
this time i belive we should finsih the job and then leave not F* it up like last time, no disrespect if i said anything that made anyone mad i apologize but thats the way it should be...
